Formed in 1966 by 18 men, using a barn as their first station, the Shelby County Volunteer Fire Department was born.

Our Mission
We, the members of the Shelby County Suburban Fire District, have the mission to save lives and protect property of the residents and guests of the Shelby County Suburban Fire Protection District coverage area. We accomplish this mission through fire protection, fire prevention, and emergency services in a safe, efficient, and professional manner.
